Dr. Campo is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology and is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatrists. He is the former Medical Director at The Dunes East Hampton in Long Island, NY as well as Gracie Square Hospital in New York City.
His treatment philosophy includes a bio-psychiatric as well as a spiritual healing approach. Dr. Campo is a strong advocate of early diagnosis and treatment of co-occurring disorders believing they play an essential role in achieving and maintaining a sober and healthful lifestyle. Dr. Campo has appeared on Fox’s Good Day New York and lectures throughout New York on psychiatric issues and addiction.
Dr. Evans has been practicing medicine for more than 50 years, over 40 of which have been in the addiction field. He has served as the Caron Renaissance Medical Director and has been a member of Caron’s Board of Directors and Professional Advisory Council. In addition, he has pioneered several programs throughout the state of Maine, including the Eastern Maine Medical Center’s Alcohol Institute, Mercy Hospital Treatment Facility, Smith House, St. Mary’s Hospital and the Jackson Brook Institute (now Spring Harbor Hospital). The American Society of Addiction Medicine has certified Dr. Evans since 1986 where he is currently a Fellow. He is a member of the American Telemedicine Association having introduced this treatment at Caron.
Dr. Hokemeyer is based in Caron’s New York City office. He holds a Ph.D. in psychology as well as a law degree. He has served as the editor in chief of the Capital University Law Journal, as well as a judicial law clerk and as a corporate attorney prior to becoming a psychotherapist. He has sat on the board of directors for the New York Division of Marriage and Family therapists. Lambert Academic Press, The Journal of Wealth Management and The American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists have all published his research. Dr. Hokemeyer also serves on the panel of experts for the Dr. Oz Show and has contributed to the blog, DoctorOz.com.
Abbie has been with Caron Renaissance since 1998. She began her career in 1989 in Minneapolis, MN when she discovered her passion for helping those in crisis, a passion which she retains to this day. She brings to Ocean Drive her broad and deep experience in areas such as sexual addiction, eating disorders, chemical dependency and family treatment. Her primary focus at Ocean Drive is trauma, grief and loss counseling. She’s an avid photographer and cook who studied art at the San Francisco Art Institute, as well as an intrepid traveler whose favorite excursion so far was ten days on horseback in the south of France.
Randy is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, a Masters Degree in Mental Health, and is currently a candidate for a Doctor of Marriage and Family Therapy (DMFT) degree. Randy has been in the field since 2002, having been a therapist at Lutheran Services South Florida, Gulf Coast Community Care and New Direction, Inc. Additionally, Randy is a strong believer in the mind/body connection and its positive impact on clinical outcomes. He is an active athlete having played semi-pro volleyball, as well as cricket, soccer and track & field.
