Josephine is a primary therapist at Caron Ocean Drive where she facilitates individual, family and group therapy sessions while also developing treatment plans to identify and address the various strengths and weaknesses of individuals whom she is working with. Josephine is a firm believer in treating clients from a systems-based perspective, embodying the philosophy that "the patient is the family, and the family is the patient". Josephine has received her ICGC-II certification as well as certification in treating compulsive shopping, stealing, spending and hoarding, to assist in facilitating treatment to clients who present with addiction interaction disorder and process addictions.
Prior to joining the clinical team at Caron Ocean Drive, Josephine worked at Caron Renaissance from 2014 until 2018. Before joining the team at Caron, Josephine worked as a lead therapist at a women's treatment facility in South Florida, overseeing the clinical services available to patients with co-occurring disorders receiving intensive outpatient treatment. She also has worked in various levels of care treating patients with dual diagnosis needs.
Josephine holds a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University. Josephine is currently working toward obtaining her Executive Master’s in Healthcare Leadership from Brown University.
