After twenty years in mortgage banking, Laurie followed her heart and enrolled in culinary school. She graduated from Florida Culinary Institute at the top of her class with dual degrees in Culinary Arts and International Baking and Pastry. Her diverse restaurant experiences include Asian fare, gluten-free baking and vegan cooking. Before coming to Ocean Drive, Laurie had worked as an Executive Chef in Delray Beach and as an Executive Pastry Chef in West Palm Beach. Laurie believes in using fresh ingredients to create simple light fare packed with flavor.
