Phoenix Adams, DSW, LCSW, is the executive director of Executive Programming. In this role, he provides administrative and clinical oversight for Caron’s Ocean Drive treatment center and the Executive Program at Caron’s Pennsylvania campus. Making use of 30 years of business experience and 10 years of clinical experience, he shapes the direction of the programs, supervises administrative and clinical staff, oversees administrative functions such as budgeting and operations, serves as a liaison to admissions about the Ocean Drive and Executive programs, and talks with patients, family members, referents, and others about the program. He also speaks publicly to a range of audiences about Caron Ocean Drive.
Phoenix began work at Caron in the admissions department for the Florida treatment center in 2012. After two years, he took on the role of program director for Ocean Drive and then managing director when he took on responsibility for the Executive Program in 2018.
His business experience includes working in human resources for several Florida corporations and managing a corporate foundation. He moved into the healthcare field to work as a medical case manager, bereavement counselor, and substance abuse counselor before coming to Caron in 2012.
Phoenix received a Doctorate of Social Work degree in May 2019. He has a master’s degree in social work from Florida Atlantic University where he also got a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
