Arriving at Ocean Drive

What to expect from day one of treatment.

Entering treatment can be an emotionally daunting experience for both clients and their loved ones. The clinical team at Ocean Drive is highly skilled at making this a warm, welcoming process. Day one includes acclimating to our treatment environment and meeting with a variety of professionals to begin the intake process.

Getting here

For the convenience of clients and family members, Ocean Drive partners with several local hotels and transportation services. Though clients typically coordinate their own travel to Ocean Drive, we are happy to make recommendations. Call a case specialist at 800-216-9512 for more details.


Upon arrival, clients are greeted by members of the clinical and residential team. Team members ensure that clients are physically ready for treatment (have undergone detox if necessary), ask preliminary questions, and issue paperwork. Once intake is complete, a counselor assistant takes clients to residences to unpack and get acclimated.

Getting settled

From day one to completion of treatment, clients can rest assured that they'll live comfortably. Whether they're providing counsel, arranging transportation, or cooking favorite meals, residential staff members strive to make every client's experience personalized, productive, and enjoyable.


Once clients are settled, our multidisciplinary team of doctors and therapists conducts comprehensive medical and psychological evaluations. Depending on results, we may recommend additional psychiatric or neurological testing. The result is a customized treatment plan that includes the needs of the client's loved ones.
